Road Player: The Danny Diliberto StoryBuy Now
This is a very entertaining read, that just flew right by. Knowing Danny personally, and taking some lessons with him, I can tell you he is a real class act-- although some of the stories about his life on the road might seem shady.
What I really love about this book is how its just like being told funny stories from an old friend. There's no flowery boring writing that diverts you from the subject. And what really amazes me is how Danny's wonderful timing even comes across through the book. It's like his wit transfers mediums. Even for someone who isn't interested in pool or billiards, this book is great. Listening to his stories about hustling and gambling with people allows us to look at and protect ourselves, by not falling for the sucker bet. Essentially greed is what drives many people, and if something sounds too good to be true it probably is. But I digress. This book was fun, entertaining, quick, easy, and what else can I say, I'm glad I read it, and you'll be glad too. An interesting note is that on Amazon the new copies are selling for less than the used copies. I see there are only a few left in stock and I really hope this book doesn't go out of print. |
